I hate to add to the sexist ageism in the entertainment industry (because George Clooney is distinguised and Diane Keaton is matronly), but Isabella is too old for this haircut. There is nothing wrong with growing older, and if anyone has aged damn well, it is Isabella Rossellini. But in the same way that a person reconsiders their wardrobe as they mature, they also need to make the same considerations towards their hairstyle. While this haircut would look great on a young gal like Audrey Tautou, on an older woman it just frames the feature on Isabella that has aged the worst: her eyes. Isabella is still beautiful, no matter her age. But with a better and less helmet-like haircut, she can look much younger.
I agree. She is beautiful, but the cut is too severe. The hair should be longer and fuller with the bangs swept to the side. I think that would be more flattering. I'm impressed, though, that she hasn't fallen victim to the plastic surgeon's knife.

Actually you can see many women her age in China sporting this kind of haircut. Her outfit, I mean her collar looks downright Maoist too. Is there a hint of a Louise Brooks reference here?

There's growing old gracefully, and then there's just growing old. She's beautiful, but this cut is much too harsh. She looks like a school marm.

She has had a similar cut for years. I have never thought that she was "beautiful" or even attractive. I guess beauty is indeed in the eye of the beholder.

I just wanted you to know, GET BACK TO THE KITCHEN YOU JUDGEMENTAL WHORE! Women should be baking pies not clucking like hens. You disgust me, and other find you a disgusting waste of precious earth and oxygen too. I hope you get shot and you're allowed to rot in your own urine and feces. Even that would be to good for a "butter" face like you.
With Love,
Anon :)

I've been searching for "fake hair bangs" for a while now. I found this site and it ROCKS. I LOVE my bangs. I'm going to order another to cut into that side-swept look. Can't wait! Check them out!

Isabella Rosellini's hairstyle is lovely.
It is classy and some of the comments I have just read are decidedly not classy. People who are intelligent and wealthy feel free to look as they want, rather than slavishly following fashions. They are leaders in fashion, as is Isabella R.
I wonder if David Lynch likes her hairdo?
One day when I was walking down a Manhatten street wearing a plaid short coat (red and green and really over the top) Isabella R. drew level with me and told me quietly 'nice jacket'. That was a very nice compliment. It's nice to take note of what's in fashion and do exactly the opposite. Clothes and hair should be fun.
Martha Stewart if well groomed and attractive in her own right, but I thought she seemed a little pale and not as vibrant as Isabella R.

Celebrity hairstyles also set trends in fashion. A celebrity cut that becomes popular gives inspiration to new fashion designs. I'm not sure though if that is the case in this instance?

Isabella Rossellini can do anything. I wonder why she goes for this type of haircut.
