Astute BHD Reader Jackie Danicki was clever enough to send this picture link about poor 'ol Posh Spice going bald. It would be easy to look at this tranny-esque woman and just assume that her lack of eating habits is causing this, but it's actually due to her addiction to being as synthetic as she can possibly be. And sadly, if you are a hair extension junkie, the same thing can happen to you.
Hair extensions are a drug - sure they look great when you first get them but you have to keep sinking more time and more money into them to make sure they keep looking great. If you slack off, you start looking like fake hair hillbilly, Britney Spears. If you continue to rely on hair extensions for a long period of time, the stress caused from the glue or tracks on your scalp will cause your hair to fall out. If you don't get extensions professionally removed, when they fall out they will take some of your natural hair with them.
If you want to save yourself thousands of dollars and bald spots, you should probably just grow your own damn hair. There are also plenty of great clip in extensions that you can use, which will add volume and length, but you can easily remove them at the end of the day and not lose any hair over it. I recommend Put on Pieces human hair extensions.

Actually Posh has been losing her hair for quite some time. She uses the extensions to hide that fact. Unfortunately, extensions make things worse. She's caught in her own style Catch 22

This is why I love ya, Hair Czar! I love what you have to say about these disasters walking around looking horrible despite having stylists on their payroll.
But most importantly, you give advice on how to not turn into a disaster. Thank you!

So what should she do to make her hair grow again?

I've worn strand-by-strand extensions for years, and my own hair has never been healthier. The key is proper care, not a lot of brushing, yanking, and up-dos.

The clip-in hair extensions are worse! They are heavier and actually cause bald spots. The constant putting them in and back out on the same part of the hair totally weakens it. Be careful. The glued extensions are lighter and better for your hair.

I wore clip on extensions for 5 months and I got the worst bald spot from them. It's growing in now but it was about the size of a silver dollar. The clip-ins are no better! I've had 3 different kinds and I'll never wear extensions again!

Once i cutet my hair really short because it was falling and decided to put hair exyensions, but it hurted so much that i begun to have a head acke and it was impossible to sleep with those things in my hair, impossible to wash or treat my own hair propally, i took it out the first day as soon as i arived home. Indeed its better to wait your own hair to grow and stop streessing it out, when i took out the fake hair, almost half of my own hair came with it. Those things are really a bad thing and can leave you bald if you use then for a long time.

Blued extension are even worst then those ones the hairdressers size with an elastic one by one. The blue used have to be removed with some kind of product that totally destroys the rest of your own hair its left once you have to remove then because of the hair grow. So for my own experience, i would not recomend any kind of hair extension at all, cause all of then damages the hair and could leave you bald.

It is true about the clip in hair extensions. I have gotten bald spots (3 to be exact), all the size of a quarter. I am totally at a loss now as to what to do. I still wear them because my hair has thinned out so badly that I am embarrassed to go without them. I have decided that I may have to resort to wearing wigs to hide my hair until it grows out. These add-in extensions all seem to have their pitfalls.

I'm so sorry, I know this has nothing to do with hair but Victoria looks horrible in the picture with her in the shorts. Her hair is not falling out because of the extensions, I wore extensions, clip-ons, sew-ins never the glue and my hair never feel out and I never got balled spots in my head. It's a sign of Malnutrition and if you eat right your hair will be healthy and you won't have to worry about anything falling out. She needs to gain weight. That's why everyone has been saying she has an eating disorder, which she does because her hair is falling out. I tell you it's a sign of Malnutrition and it's going to catch up with her sooner or later.

I have had clip in extentions since feb.
They are actually fantastic. However, i made the poor choice of never really removing them, causing my hair to become stressed. The constant wear of the clip on the same spots for the passed months has caused my hair to thin in those areas and eventually develop "bald" spots, which is extremely sickening due to the fact i am only 16. =(

Clip in extension will not cause baldness if you take them out at night and not wear them ALL the time. I have been wearing them for 3 years! I only wear them sometimes and i never sleep in them. The fushion extensions (Victoria is wearing) could after time cause bald spots they are attached to your hair for Months! It will make your hair folical inflamed. Im not a doctor but I am a hair stylist and I can see why they would be balding after wearing fushion extentions for very long periods of time.

it's actually not a bald spot. She has in fusion extensions and that's exactly what it looks like. they take tiny chunks or pieces of your hair and melt the keratin 1 and half inches away from the root. the top hairs are supposed to cover the keratin so that it blends in nicely. It's just a bad photo and her extensions just happened to show. she's not balding.

She has PCOS. One of the symptoms is thinning hair.

Ideally, all cases should be the result of hurricane events. But
other events may also prove useful.
